Project Brief

The summer of 2018 took it’s toll on a lot of sports fields and RAF Mildenhall’s Heritage Park was no exception.
RAF Mildenhall is located with the Suffolk Brecklands, a sandy, free draining area at the edge of the Fens.

Tilbrook’s were approached and appointed by RG Carters to strip the existing grass, incorporate green waste compost to boost the soil quality, install an automated irrigation system and re seed the surface and to ensure the sports field was ready for October 1st for the first game of the Football (Soccer) season.

Heritage park was re-opened on October 1st, a public opening ceremony and first sport fixture was held on October 7th, Read more about the opening here
